Avoid getting in to the trap on sightseeing support from the hotel staff and Harish Kumar Arya (the cab driver). It was a frustrating experience. Nainital is a small place and most of the spots are closer to Mall road. Everything is at a walkable distance. Negotiate with a local cab guy and get things going Rooms - Pictures are quite old. They need a major revamp in overall cleanliness and upkeep. We were disappointed Location and cost - There are better hotels in and around with the same or slightly more cost. So think twice No live kitchen - For anyone with family, it's a big bummer. You need to go out all the time

We booked 2 room apartment with breakfast. Location - Court Road, not apt if you want to stay on mall road or if you don't have car/bike. Very good view from rooms and silent. Property - These are nice sweet clean apartments. We had 2 rooms with attached washrooms. A drawing room having Sofa centre table, Tv and dinning table. This also had pantry having microwave, electric kettle, toaster. Service - Awesome service by each staff member. We had infant with us and they made sure of baby kichdi and other stuff. Cutlery was frequently replenished. Special mention Deep. On request Table games were provided in room. Food - Breakfast was laid in the drawing room of the apartment. Freshly prepared Good variety was served. We had parents traveling with us who didn't had onion garlic, staff prepared the food accordingly. Room tips - 3A, 2A Scope of Improvement - water flow in bathroom + please replace your existing inventory of towels.

Worst hotel o have ever visited in my life The rooms are suffocated of pinewood So small room Feels suffocated Hotel is located on slope No kitchen no resturant infact they dont have any Reception also No balcony in the room Anyone will die in this suffocated rooms If u r staying on ground floor u cannot stay The owner should stay first and then recommend the hotel to anyone In pictures hotel looks nice But the moment man will take u to the room It is a small way which u have to pass to get in the room All roof is of iron shed Pathetic service

We had wonderful stay at Naini Retreat.It is beautiful property with mixture of antique & modernization.Hotel staff is very polite & humble. We celebrated our 10th Anniversary where hotel provided a special candle light dinner.This is a heavenly place to stay in Nainital.
